Blanc du Bois was developed by the University of Florida to be a premium white grape that grows well in a warm climate. It really does make great wine. For this reason Texas vineyards & wineries have adopted this grape. We like it as a dry, sweet, or sparkling wine. One of the ancestors of BdB is the Muscat grape which explains its citrus nose with undertones of apricot and peach. Our BdB is grown in the sandy soils of East Texas.
